Carbon Farming Summit: Fondazione Fenice joins European sustainability leaders
From March 17 to 19, 2026, Padua hosted the third edition of the European Carbon Farming Summit, a key European milestone for soil regeneration policies and climate change mitigation in agriculture. Fondazione Fenice Onlus, a partner of the INTERESH project, actively contributed to the debate, sharing the expertise gained in developing innovative agricultural models with reduced environmental impact.
Now in its third year, the Summit focused on critical themes such as carbon market governance, large-scale financing, and monitoring and verification systems (MRV), all in view of the implementation of the new EU Regulation on Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming.
Participation in the Summit provided fresh visibility for the INTERESH project, consolidating the partnership’s presence within the framework of European initiatives linked to the “A Soil Deal for Europe” Mission. During the working sessions, the importance of combining innovative technological solutions with the real needs of local producers emerged clearly. This approach is currently being tested by INTERESH through its Living Labs, which aim to improve soil health and climate resilience for agricultural businesses in Puglia. The dialogue initiated in Padua opens new perspectives for the project, moving towards research that is increasingly capable of translating into solutions with a tangible impact on the sustainability of the agri-food supply chain.
