INTERESH at Fondazione Fenice’s ÉQUIPÀGGIÀTI Festival

On 26 September, the Fenice Green Energy Park in Padua hosted the fourth edition of ÉQUIPÀGGIÀTI - Festival delle Opportunità Formative, organised by Fondazione Fenice and dedicated this year to the theme Joining forces, transforming vulnerabilities.

Teachers, school leaders, educators and professionals took part in activities focusing on wellbeing at school and collaboration among the different professionals working in education. During the festival, Fondazione Fenice, an INTERESH partner, presented the project and its work on soil health.

Fondazione Fenice has worked with schools, students and teachers for many years. The Green Energy Park hosts activities for different age groups, as well as PCTO programmes and training initiatives for teachers. Energy, natural resources, ecological transition and sustainability are central themes in its educational programmes.

Communication with schools is also part of INTERESH’s work on soil literacy. Improving knowledge about soil is one of the objectives of the EU Mission Soil.

ÉQUIPÀGGIÀTI therefore represents one of the first steps in INTERESH’s work on education and training. Over the coming months, the project will organise online training courses and a Summer School entirely dedicated to soil health and the experience gained through the Living Lab in Apulia.

The experimental activities will provide material to explore concrete issues, while results collected in the field will feed into the training programme, offering a closer look at the work carried out through the four Experimental Actions.

The event in Padua marks the beginning of a phase that will continue over the coming months. Research and training will progress in parallel, while results from the activities in Apulia will gradually be shared through the project’s educational resources.
